    FAQ - About Tulipa

Tulip bulbs are best planted in autumn, between September and December, before the ground freezes. This gives the bulbs enough time to develop roots before winter begins.

As a rule of thumb, plant Tulip bulbs at a depth of about two to three times their own height. Also allow sufficient spacing between the bulbs, usually 10 to 15 cm, depending on the size of the variety.

Yes, Tulips grow best in a sunny location. They prefer well-draining soil and perform less well in shady, damp conditions.

No, most Tulips are not reliably perennial. While some botanical species and perennial varieties may return for several years under ideal conditions, the majority of garden tulips are grown as annuals. For the best display, it is generally recommended to plant fresh bulbs each autumn.
