Founder & Vision

My name is Wessel van Gerven, fourth generation within the van Gerven family.
In 2023, I founded Gerven Bulbs as a new business inspired by a family tradition in the bulb industry that started in 1960. Growing up in the Dutch Bulb Region, my first experiences in the bulb industry began on my grandfather’s nursery and later continued while working for a local bulb grower.

Why Gerven Bulbs

Gerven Bulbs is an online shop for flower bulbs, especially for the true garden lover. I carefully put together my assortment, with a focus on reliable performance in the garden. I supply only authentic varieties and true-type cultivars, never alternatives.

I do this work simply because I enjoy it: from selecting flowers at the growers to delivering your order. I also find the whole process surrounding it hugely interesting.

My vision

My vision is for every garden enthusiast to shop with complete confidence — knowing that what they order is exactly what will grow and bloom in their garden. By earning that trust, one gardener at a time, I aim to grow Gerven Bulbs into one of the leading flower bulb webshops in the UK and Holland.

Why Green

The fresh green colour of Gerven Bulbs symbolises a fresh new beginning, representing both nature and the launch of my brand. Inspired by my family tradition, I created a modern and innovative flower bulb brand with a fresh vision for the future.
