Narcissus bulbs are best planted in autumn, between November and December, before the first frost sets in. This gives the bulbs enough time to form roots before winter begins.

As a rule of thumb, plant Narcissus bulbs at a depth of about two to three times their own height. Also allow sufficient spacing between the bulbs, usually 10 to 15 cm, depending on the size of the variety.

Yes, Narcissus grows best in a sunny to partially shaded location. It likes well-draining soil and thrives less well in shady, waterlogged conditions.

Yes, Narcissus is a hardy, perennial bulb. Provided it is planted in the right spot and the bulbs don't rot from excess moisture, it will return year after year and often naturalizes readily, spreading into larger clumps over time.
