Description
Description
Anemone Collection mix 25 offers a stunning blend of colours for early spring blooms. These easy-to-grow anemones reach 20-30 cm in height and flower in February and March. With a planting depth of 5 cm and 10 cm spacing, they're ideal for borders, pots and ground cover. The tubers (size 6/8) thrive best in a sunny, sheltered position. They're suitable for lawns, large containers and wildlife gardens, attracting bees. Thanks to their natural resistance to mice, deer and rabbits, they're a reliable choice. Reach full bloom in the first year.

Anemoon grow guide
Anemoon grow guide
Plant Anemone tubers in autumn (September–December) in a sunny to partially shaded spot with well-draining soil. Before planting, soak the tubers in lukewarm water for a few hours to help them rehydrate. Dig a hole 2 to 3 times the height of the tuber (about 5 cm deep) — don't worry too much about which end is up, as tubers don't have an obvious tip like bulbs do. Space tubers 10 to 15 cm apart. Cover with soil and water lightly. In early spring, enjoy a carpet of delicate daisy-like flowers in blue, white, or pink!

FAQ - About Anemonen

When should I plant Anemoon bulbs?
When should I plant Anemoon bulbs?
Anemone tubers are best planted in autumn, between September and December, before the first frost sets in. This gives the tubers enough time to form roots before winter begins.

At what depth and spacing should I plant Anemoon bulbs?
At what depth and spacing should I plant Anemoon bulbs?
As a rule of thumb, plant the tubers at a depth of about two to three times their own height (roughly 5 cm deep). Also allow sufficient spacing between the tubers, usually 10 to 15 cm, depending on the size of the variety.

Do Anemone need a lot of sun?
Do Anemone need a lot of sun?
Anemone (blanda) grows best in a sunny to partially shaded location. It likes well-draining soil and does less well in shady, damp conditions.
deceased
Are Anemoon bulbs perennial, do they come back every year?
Are Anemoon bulbs perennial, do they come back every year?
Anemone (blanda) are hardy, perennial tubers. Provided they are planted in the right spot and the tubers don't rot from excess moisture, they will return year after year and often naturalize and spread on their own, forming lovely drifts over time.
Note: This applies to tuber types like Anemone blanda. Anemone coronaria doesn't always come back in cold winters. Japanese anemones grow from a different kind of root and spread even faster once they settle in.
