    FAQ - About Muscari

Muscari bulbs are best planted in autumn, between September and November, before the first frost sets in. This gives the bulbs enough time to form roots before winter begins.

As a rule of thumb, plant Muscari bulbs at a depth of about two to three times their own height. Also allow sufficient spacing between the bulbs, usually 5 to 8 cm, depending on the size of the variety.

Yes, Muscari grows best in a sunny to partially shaded location. It likes well-draining soil and thrives less well in shady, damp conditions.

Yes, Muscari is a hardy, perennial bulb. Provided it is planted in the right spot and the bulbs don't rot from excess moisture, it will return year after year and may even naturalize and spread on its own.
